Badbaado Legal and Consultation Center (BLCC) believe that human rights are a global priority at the heart of global peace and development, and that equality and the inalienable rights of all human beings must be recognized. Therefore, the protection of legal consultancy center [BLCC] pays special attention to the way in which people waiting in Somalia access their basic rights:

A. Gender Equality

Gender inequality derails development and the movement will advocate for the equality of men and women in all crosscutting issues i.e. politics, economics and social issues.

B. Campaigning against domestic violence/ GBV

Gender-based violence (GBV) encompasses a wide range of human rights violations ranging from rape, domestic violence, sexual assault and harassment, trafficking of women, girls and boys and harmful traditional practices including female genital mutilation/cutting, early marriage, bride inheritance and others.

C. Job creation and technical trainings for youth and women

The job creations for Somali youth and women especially the marginalized groups. The skills training will include; tailoring, masonry and carpentry, bookkeeping, numeracy skills and small business management.

D. Fair political representation for Women

The women in Somalia are not equally represented in politics as men. Currently, we have 23% of women in political representation, which a good move for the country that is in post conflict situations. The movement will advocate for more political spaces for women to participate in politics.
